STEM Programming: Snap Circuits

IMG_0138Snap Circuits teaches electronics by snapping together circuits.  Snap Circuits come in a kit with an instruction manual that shows you how to create 100 + projects such as doorbell, siren, fan, an AM radio, etc. The kits range in price from $25-$150.  The more projects included, the more it costs.  You can also buy speciality kits such as LED, rover, etc. It’s very simple to teach.  Once students know how to read the grid/instructions, they can do the projects independently. Snap circuits are an engaging hands on activity.  We’ve had teens put the Xbox down to come play with the circuits.  After the class, the teen in the above picture asked his mother if she could buy him a kit!
